When should I use a limit goal?
If you want to moderate an activity, this goal allows you to set fixed upper limits. In contrast to the other goals types, this type is about making as few entries as possible within a set timeframe (e.g. consuming something). For every minute you stay within your set limit you move closer to reaching 100% by the end of the day/week. Every day/week you want to limit yourself you first need to activate your goal. You do this by clicking on your limit goal and tapping on activate on the the recording screen.
It might sound a little complicated, but it’s really not.
Imagine that you would like to give up smoking. Then in the first step, you try to get by with fewer cigarettes. You set yourself an upper limit of five cigarettes a day. You record every cigarette that you smoke in Goalify. As long as you do not smoke more than five cigarettes during the day, everything is good and you will have completely reached your goal by the end of the day. If you were to already have smoked your sixth cigarette by noon, then you would only have a 50% rate of success.
